Amanda works predominantly in oils but often include drawing media - particularly charcoal.​

People just being people inspire my work. There are stories to be told in their faces, in their postures and gestures, and in their relationship to one another.​Amanda prefers to work with unposed images of people going about their daily life. She create images from Google Street View, TV documentaries, or from observation. For Amanda, their unrehearsed selves tell volumes about their characters and lives. Their stories are very important to her... even while she don't know them, she tries to convey their characters, moods and stories through her paintings.
