Tammy Walters

Tammy Walters is a modern contemporary British artist based in Halsall, Lancashire, UK. She works predominantly in Acrylic and Ink and with a bold and illustrative painting style.

She was born in 1968 in Liverpool, UK.  Her journey has taken her to Azerbaijan and Dubai and back to the UK after a career change from her corporate role in HR.  Her time overseas gave her time to work on herself and her art.

Tammy’s work is energetic, expressive and reflective of her passion for the equine and animal form . Her work has a deep connection with people and has evoked many emotions. Her use of colour is a far cry from the traditional portraiture, but one of contemporary style. Her passion to create she says ‘is as powerful as breathing’ she believes animals are in her spirit and uses painting as her creative voice.

Her passion is to create animals with her confident marks and loose colourful style and ink drips.  She wants her playful marks and bold colours to create a little piece of fun and happiness in peoples lives.

Tammy’s work is a representation of her personal journey and the coming together to create art with expression and individuality, at the same time a way of portraying her feelings and emotions. Each painting is a reflection of all that consumes her and keeps her grounded and uplifted.
