Sue Roberts

Creativity has been a central, and essential, part of Sue’s life. Born in Lancashire and living in Cheshire Sue comes from a long line of makers and creatives. Her intention after school was to take up a place studying 3D Design/Silversmithing but life had other ideas.

In 1990 Sue began a City & Guilds course in Creative Embroidery. After completion in 1994 she was accepted as a member of the Cheshire Textile Group and exhibited nationally and internationally both with the group and in solo or smaller group shows. Now concentrating on painting which had previously been a preparatory stage for the textile/mixed media pieces, Sue uses a variety of mediums to create expressive and intuitive pieces that are responsive and reactionary both to the inspiration and the previous mark laid down.

Sue has work in collections both in the UK and overseas.
