Debbie Goldsmith

Debbie Goldsmith is a British artist celebrated for her distinctive approach to abstract painting. Having studied fine art at Coventry Polytechnic, she currently resides and works in Cheshire. Her creative process is deeply influenced by the local landscape; she takes regular walks to observe and document the changing seasons and weather through field notes and quick sketches. These preliminary sketches form the backbone of her work in the studio, where she experiments with drawing and printmaking techniques to develop her compositions.

Goldsmith's larger-scale paintings are known for their vibrant colors and expressive forms, capturing the essence of nature in a way that engages and captivates viewers. Her work has been showcased in galleries and museums throughout the UK and internationally. It also features in several public and private collections, including commissions for Manchester Art Gallery, The Royal Crescent Hotel in Bath, St Davids’ Hotel in Cardiff, the Lowry Hotel in Manchester, and Manchester Airport.
