Sheila Scholes
My artistic process begins by identifying the desired emotional impact I want to encourage in viewers. I then integrate insights from shape psychology to guide form and color psychology principles to influence the palette selection, to achieve my intended effect. Each artwork comprises intricate layers of wooden shapes, generating shifting shadows that evolve with the viewer's perspective, environmental condition, and lighting. Central to my creations is the concept of transformation, offering observers an ever-evolving visual experience.
My creative journey includes completing an Art and Design Foundation course at Central Saint Martins, followed by specialised studies in Set Design for Stage and Screen at Wimbledon College of Art, London. Currently based in Cheshire, I continue to explore the interplay between art and psychology.
