Louise is currently developing a new body of work that investigates the quiet narratives embedded in everyday objects. In this latest series, she turns her attention to shoes - not simply as functional items, but as intimate vessels of personal history. Each painting explores the beauty of the object while inviting viewers to imagine the unseen stories they hold: Who wore them? What moments did they witness?​
Through careful observation, layered textures, and a sensitivity to form, I transform familiar footwear into portraits of presence and absence. The series sits at the intersection of memory, identity, and material culture, offering a contemplative look at how objects outlive their owners and become quiet keepers of mystery.
